Mohammad Sharkia, M.Sc.

Mohammad Sharkia is a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He holds both a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, specializing in structural engineering and structural design.

He is engaged in the structural design of a wide range of projects within the construction industry, including residential, public, and industrial buildings; reinforced concrete and steel structures; existing buildings; building additions and alterations; structural strengthening and rehabilitation; as well as specialized structural engineering solutions.

His professional work includes the analysis and design of structural systems, development and evaluation of design alternatives, preparation of structural construction drawings, coordination with architects and other project consultants, and the provision of engineering solutions to issues arising throughout the design and construction phases.

In addition to his work as a structural designer, Sharkia serves as a structural design reviewer and construction control engineer. In this capacity, he reviews structural engineering designs, calculations, and drawings, assesses proposed structural solutions, and carries out construction-stage inspections to verify that structural works are executed in accordance with the approved design.

Alongside his professional practice, he lectures at colleges for practical engineering education in the field of civil engineering, teaching courses in structural engineering, structural design, and construction planning and execution.

Sharkia is registered with the Israeli Register of Engineers and Architects and is a member of the Israel Association of Construction and Infrastructure Engineers.

His work is characterized by thoroughness, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to develop effective structural solutions for complex design and construction challenges, while carefully evaluating engineering alternatives and addressing the specific requirements of each project. His professional practice is further guided by a strong commitment to structural engineering and a continuous pursuit of technical knowledge and professional development.
